Prithviraj says he has many hobbies, including watching movies and travelling
Travel bug Prithviraj
Prithviraj, in his twenties, already has a veteran’s confidence and he reminds you of the eighties’ Malayalam movie heroes who were always conscious of their ‘star’ status. He has definite views on any issue and he does not th
ink twice before airing them.
So ask him about his hobbies and he rattles off the usual books, music, reading rigmarole. But no, he has his preferences, where travel is concerned and he has favourite authors too.
Who? The latest to catch his fancy is Khaled Hosseini and Mohshin Hamid.
Afghanistan simply fascinates him, though he hasn’t been there. There, you see the link between Afghanistan and his favourite author, Husseini now. “The whole belt there, the old Soviet Union nations, Afghanistan and Pakistan,” is where he would love to go on a holiday.
But of the places he has been to, Tasmania ranks first in beauty, the place where he studied for two years. And Prithviraj hates going to a place he has already been to. (Not his home town, Thiruvananthapuram, I hope)
His music collection is already huge as also his DVD collection of films.
What language movies? English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, French, Spanish…goes the list.
And yes, there’s cricket, which he watches, even at shooting locations, at any happy home, thrilled to have the star watch their TV, when he has a respite from the arc lights.
