Celebritydom

While other games like football, hockey, kabbadi, have not received much attention, cricket has always enjoyed a celebrity status. Obsession with cricket has turned many youngsters into cricket maniacs who waste their precious time sitting in front of the TV.

However, I welcome the T20 cricket matches. It can even be cut to T10 so that the game is over in an hour or two like other games. Only then cricket addiction will come down and cricketers too willbe treated like any other player and not like heroes from heaven after their triumphs.
