Underground 2007 is a music competition for high school and college students. Started in 2001, this contest is also known as the “Battle of the Bands’, which offers a melting pot of the latest talent in the high schools and colleges “to promote and elevate fresh talent in our country”.

The prizes this year include gift vouchers from Landmark (Associate Sponsor) worth Rs. 13,000. The award categories this year are best classical solo, best Indian light vocals and best own composition to name a few.

The contest will be held in the city between October 12 and 13 at Unwind Center, 104, 5th Block, Koramangala. Entry fee is priced at Rs. 75 for those with a college or school ID card.

Garuda Mall is organising the Garuda Fest 2007 that starts on October 14 to celebrate Id. The mall will offer plenty of music and cultural festivals, say the organisers.
