Asha Medical Foundation has set up a Sugar Free Zone, a shop for diabetics.

It offers a wide range of diabetic testing supplies such as glucometers, weighing machines, blood pressure machines and foot care products.

There are also food products which are sugar free and with low glycemic index such as jams, sweets, sweetners, diet chocolates, herbal tea, natural sugar substitutes, lemon ginger squash, lemon and orange squash, multi grain cookies, silky candies and soyavita.

The sweets include barfi, gulab jamun, pedha, halwas, soya based crackers and many more dishes without actual sugar.

All the products are said to be safe for diabetics as they can be a part of a low carbohydrate diet.
