Event The International Slide Circuit Exhibition will be a feast for the eyes
|
The world of snaps Award winning pictures by Gho Lay Tin of Singapore Huysmans Bernard of Belgium
The seventh edition of International Slide Circuit Exhibition by Visakha Camera Club (VCC) is commencing from Saturday. The venue is Dolphin Hotel and is being co-hosted by the oldest Rotary club in the city, Rotary Club of Visakhapatnam.
The camera club has received 2,164 slides from across 20 countries and the jury comprising S.V.S. Ravi Kumar, C. Kishan Chand and B.K. Agrawal have selected 423 slides including 34 award winning ones and 66 certificate winners. In the exhibition all the accepted and award winning pictures will be displayed.
Before landing in this city the circuit exhibition had travelled to six different places, and at every place it was judged by a new set of jury. The exhibition comprises five categories like pictorial, nature, wildlife, photo-journalism and travel.
“It will be a feast for the eye for all sections of people. The show will not only be educative but also inspiring for the budding photographers and painters.

It is an opportunity to see the works of renowned photographers under one roof,” says the chairman of the programme B.K. Agarwal.
The slide show will be accompanied by a running commentary by T.A.Venkateswaran, Anuradha and Zara. Techniques will be discussed in course of the commentary.
The Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Mukesh Kumar Meena will inaugurate the exhibition at 6.30 p.m. The exhibition will also be repeated on October 14 from 6.00 p.m. at the same venue.
Apart from the exhibition VCC will be conducting a workshop on photo-journalism on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hawa Mahal on the Beach Road in collaboration with the Rotary Club.
The president of the Rotary Club N.T. Rao, its secretary D.V. Raju and its coordinator Mayank Kumari will also participate.
