Contest for budding dancers and dance troupes

Saregama Films, has announced the launch of Close-Up Super Dancer, a contest for budding dancers and dance troupes. The event invites dancers in the age group 18-24, both male and female, pairs and dance troupes across the country to showcase their t
alent. The bi-lingual show in Tamil and Telugu will be launched in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and will be aired on Sun TV (Tamil language) and Gemini TV (Telugu language).
The show will be hosted and judged by Malavika, well-known dancer and there will be on-ground promos and auditions in 11 centres – six in Tamil Nadu and five cities in Andhra Pradesh. Out of 30 performers in the preliminary stage in various categories, 15 from each category will chosen to compete with one another. Of these, six best performers will be short-listed for the quarterfinals and another four winners will be selected for the semi-finals. These four winners will compete with one another and from these two will fight it out in the finals.
Apart from winning the “Close-Up Super Dancer” title, along with the prize money, the winners will also be given an opportunity to dance in a movie.
