Buoyant Bengali fests
Green Park is organising a regional cuisine festival – ‘The Bengali Food Festival”. The festival is conducted at the restaurant – ‘Once Upon A Time’ till October 21.. Typical Bengali cuisine woulb be available: Hilsa Kalia, Kosha Mangsho, Palangsager Murghi, Malai Chingri and Kosha Dhim, for the non-vegetarians, and Kumro Poteler Dorma, Shukto, Aloo Potal, Gubni and Dhakai Paratha for the vegetarians. The sweet tongued can dig into Ambal, Sandesh, Malpua, Payesh, Lavang Lata, Kalakand, Raj Bhog, Chum Chum Rassagolla and Chenna Jalebi. The food fest is priced at Rs. 345 plus taxes.

Yet another Bengali fare at ‘The Indian Grill’ (ITC Hotel The Kakatiya) which will be on till October 21(dinner).
On offer is the meal that a Bengali soul would desire from a Bengali kitchen which would include a variety of ingredients like rui (rohu), katla, magur (catfish), chingi (prawn or shrimp), as well as shuþki (small dried sea fish). Bengal is also the land of mangoes, which are used extensively - ripe, unripe, or in pickles. And the mishti (desert course) where one would be served the best of Bengali sweets namely shôndesh,
sôshogolla, chômchôm, etc.
