The publishing firm Penguin is celebrating completion of twenty years of publishing in India. It has announced the commencement of the Penguin India Annual Lecture series.

The first lecture will be titled “The World Is Still Flat” and delivered by Thomas L. Friedman, three time Pulitzer Prize winner, columnist and best-selling author of The World Is Flat, at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on October 30.

The book published by Penguin has been a bestseller selling over a million copies worldwide. The lecture will build on the book in which modern India plays an integral part in the global economic arena. Nandan Nilekani, Co-Chairman, Infosys Technologies, who features prominently in the book, will deliver the introductory remarks to the lecture.
