Navarathri festivities
The Navarathri concluding day’s programmes at several venues in the city are fun filled and the temples are holding classical music concerts and bhajans at many places.
The Avishkar Navarathri Festival will be held on three days, beginning from October 19. There will be aradhanas, concerts and bhajans. On October 20, there will be a Hindustani concert by Dinesh Devadas at 5.30 pm and the Avishkar students will sing bhajans at 6.30 pm.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Navarathri programmes on October 20 is by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, which will present Ganeshageetham, Vividha Swaroopam. On the earlier days, several dance pragrammes and concerts were held as part of the festivities. On Sunday, Vijaydashami day, festivities conclude with the ’Ezhuthiniruthu’ ceremony, all over the State.
