Classic! Vidya Balan in New Delhi

Mira Jain, head designer and CEO of Mirari & Co. launched her Fall-Winter 2007 Collection recently. She also opened a Mirari store at Shangri-La which was inaugurated by actress. Vidya Balan . Vidya looked glamorous in an evening gown and a neck piece made of pearls. On her choice of jewellery, she says, “I wore heavy jewellery in Parineeta but I prefer light contemporary jewellery.” She adds, “I wear jewellery only on special occasions because on shoots it is really hard to manage.” On her latest release Bhool Bhulaiyaa she says, “It has turned out great with people everywhere liking it so much”. Although the movie is a comic thriller, she says her role was not comic to begin with. Asked about her Hum Paanch days where she did comedy, she says, “I really cherish those days, however I like all this attention. It is more than what I bargained for but it is not very difficult dealing with it.”

Designer Mira is eloquent about her latest collection Odyssey, “It is inspired by nature. I have tried to put together an under sea look with stones and gems.” The four lines launched in this collection are Odyssey inspired by the under water theme, Thalassa using diamonds, sapphires and baroque pearls, Amara inspired by the peacock and Plume is a classic design collection.
