correction

The second sentence of ‘Gandhi in Mauritius’ (Friday Review, Oct 19) refers to South Africa as birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. The writer mentioned South Africa as the place where "the leader in Mahatma Gandhi was born". The omission of "the leader" gives a false impression. The error is deeply regretted.
