Mental happiness

“The more I see men, the more I love dogs,” is the comment made by famous philosopher Bertrand Russel. From immemorial times, mankind has identified creatures that are faithful and friendly towards human beings: dogs, cats, horses, parrots, pigeons, etc. Psychologists say that spending some time with pets helps one to get over depression and anxiety. Children like pets and look after them passionately. Such behaviour is very pleasant and mild. At home, I had a pet dog for some years. A cat also lived there and its progeny continued for five generations. There was no trace of mice in the house. I noticed that a bitch is more affectionate towards its offspring and loyal towards its master. Needless to say the presence of pets at home gives a lot of mental happiness and refreshes one’s sprits.
