Neha Dhupia

One would expect a beauty pageant winner to be always politically correct and diplomatic. Perhaps that’s why Neha Dhupia stands out . Her statements like “In Bollywood Shahrukh and sex always sell,” have made headlines. She also mad e news with her debut in the bold and sensual flick Julie. But lately, the actress has turned her attention to grabbing meaningful roles.

In New Delhi recently, Neha says, “It is tough for an actor who starts with sensational roles to be perceived as a serious artist. But my initial roles helped me in getting noticed by filmmakers”.

Excited about her upcoming movie, Sanjay Gupta’s Dus Kahaniyaan, she says she is not apprehensive about sharing the screen with 26 other actors.

“Every character has its own story so there’s nothing to be worried about,” she says.

Speaking on her role in Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Neha says, “I had great time playing my character.”
