SABUDANA VADAA

Wash and then soak 1 cup of sabudana (saggubiyyam) in water. Amount of water you use to soak is important ie., water should be just 1cm above the level of sabudana in the vessel. After 2 hours it should take the entire water and swell little and when you stir with spoon, the grains should seperate. Remember they should not be watery/soggy. Add one boiled and mashed potato, salt, red chilli powder, and 1/4th cup roasted peanut powder. (a spoonful lemon juice, and jeera-dhania powder can also be added to the batter). If the batter is too dry, add little amount of water so that it gets the small vada shape on your palm. Deep fry one sample vada..and if it comes out crunchy, do the rest.
