Music festival

Jayaprakash, 39, from Thripunithura, has written over 350 compositions in five languages, including Sanskrit, in which he has written many. The Jayaprakash Sangeetha Parishad, has been organising the Poornathrayeesa Sangeetolsavam for the past twenty years at Tripunithura, with eminent singers like Mavelikkara Prabhakara , T.N.Seshagopalan, singing these lyrics. The Parishad will now conduct the first Poornathrayee Sangeetolsavam 2007 at Hyderabad. Jointly organised by the Omkara Bhakta Samajam, Hyderabad, Kalavanchi, Hyderabad and Jayaprakash Sangeetha Parishad, at the Sri Tyagaraja Gana Sabha on November 4, the event is aimed at the propagation of Jayaprakash’s krithis. There will be a lecture-demonstration by T. K. Govinda Rao and N. P. Ramaswamy, on the ‘Vaakgeyakara Vaibhavam’ of Jayaprakash on the occasion. Jayaprakash will be conferred with the title ‘Sangeetha Kala Srivari’.
