Celebrity guests

The talent hunt show, “Amul Star Voice of India” (Star Plus, Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m.), is steadily progressing towards its grand finale.

Last week, to build up the tempo (TRP?), Star Plus roped in laughter king Shekhar Suman and sensational singer Atif Aslam (of “Tere Bin…” fame), Bollywood beauty Diya Mirza and the talented Manoj Bajpai as celebrity guests.

This was followed by performances by the five finalists of the show – Irfan, Ishmeet, Abhaas, Toshi and Harshit. Each competitor showcased their musical talent by singing two songs – a golden oldie and a contemporary hit.

All the finalists sang to the best of their ability in a bid to be the ‘Voice of India’.
