Though India is the second most populated country in the world after China, we are not in the acme of sports events. Our domination in hockey is history. In cricket, we rise one moment and fall equally fast. We are also unable to produce sports personalities in individual games. But Viswanathan Anand is a man of different stock, mettle and chemistry. With his consistency he is bringing laurels to the nation and the latest "World Crown in Chess" is yet another feather in his cap. His consistency is amazing. Anand is wedded to chess and his spirit is his hallmark. Hats off to Anand for reaching the apogee of chess and three cheers to him for keeping India’s flag flying high in the international chess arena.
