It is a variety of programmes on Rosebowl this Deepavali (November 8). Those who enjoy good music should check out Bennet and his band presenting ‘The Complete Jam Sessions.’ It has a blend of Carnatic, Hindustani classical, film songs and western classical music. Singers Karthik, Gayathri, Jyotsna and Franko are starring in this programme which will be telecast at 9.30 p.m.
‘Nightingale Sing Us Your Song’ at 9 a.m. will have singers Swetha, Mahathi, Ganga, Cicily and Elizabeth rendering both new and evergreen melodies.
Manjari and Mridula will enchant listeners with their vocals in ‘Innisai,’ a music programme which focusses on popular Tamil film songs. Movie buffs are in for a treat as the channel screens ‘Omkara’ at 10.30 a.m. and ‘Mr & Mrs Iyer’ at 4 p.m. Meerabhajans by noted Hindustani singer Abhradita Banerji will be telecast at 8.30 a.m.
