Chinese odyssey at The Park food festival

Sichuan delights Chef Li Qun Xu from Beijing dishing out Chinese delicacies

People who intend to taste authentic Chinese delicacies, a drive to The Park will satiate their palate. The hotel has started a Chinese food festival from Friday at its trendy restaurant ‘Vista’ and has named the festival as ‘Chines e odyssey’.

The restaurant known for serving international cuisines like Italian, Mexican and Thai in the past will now be dishing out authentic Sichuan cuisine till November 25.

To lend authenticity to the food the hotel has flown down chef Li Qun Xu from Beijing.

“The chef has over 17 years of culinary experience and has worked in various international destinations. He will be cooking popular and lip smacking Sichuan, Cantonese and Hunan cuisines during the festival,” said the General Manager of the hotel Subrata Majumdar.

The chef informed that the food will be cooked with natural ingredients and will be tailor made to suit the taste of the gourmets. Naming a few dishes Mr. Li said, “ Popular Chinese dishes like beng beng ji (chicken Sichuan style), haisin ju pian (fish tossed with hot haisin sauce), hei jiao luong xian (lobster in black pepper sauce) and tian suan ju (fish with spicy sweet and sour sauce) are a few to name.

The festival is on a la carte and is open from 7.30 p.m. For reservations call 2754488.
