“Bhishma” will be staged by The Chettinad Players

All set for the big day Preparations are on for the staging of “Bhishma”
The Chettinad Players, the theatre group of Chettinad Vidyashram, presents “Bhishma – an epic on stage”, a play in English.
“Bhishma” is the third production of the group, the earlier ones being “Karna” and “Vaalivadham”, which were a success. Based on the most conflict-ridden character of the Mahabharata, the play will be presented by the students and alumni of Chettinad Vidyashram.
The director, Jayakumar, a versatile theatre artist, has worked extensively with the team. The sets have been designed by award winning art director Thota Tharrani.
The play will be staged on November 23, 24 and 25 at 6 p.m., at Kumara Rajah Muthiah Hall (school auditorium), Chettinad Vidyashram, R. A. Puram. There will be a special show for school children on November 22.
