Britain’s National Tourism Agency, VisitBritain continues to ride on its film tourism campaign ahead of the release of the film “The Golden Age”, directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film starring Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush and Clive Owen, is a follow-up to “Elizabeth” and follows the life of Queen Elizabeth I and features a wealth of English locations. And visitors get a chance to visit these locations with VisitBritain. Eleven film locations on the map include Brean Down in Somerset, Berkshire’s Dorney Court, St John’s College Cambridge, and Ely, Wells, Westminster and Winchester Cathedrals. Indian tourists can save money with VisitBritain’s Great British Heritage Pass. The organisers say that 50 per cent Indian visitors to Britain “very likely” to visit places from films. Indian Railways in association with United breweries has introduced the Kingfisher Express, a holiday special train, which will run between Bangalore and Gorakhpur.

This train has started from November 8, 2007, from Yeshwantpur, to Gorakhpur in east Uttar Pradesh and will run once a week.

The route will be Barabanki, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Jhansi, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Ramagundam, Secunderabad, Raichur, Guntakal, Anantpur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, and Yelahanka and terminate at Yeshwantpur.
