Anarchy at its best
Twenty five Chief Ministers and counting. Karnataka has had a notorious history of governments that never last. The BJP barely celebrated its first Chief Minister in the South, when it all fell apart like a pack of cards. It’s the presidentR
17;s rule again and when will we ever see a stable, performing government? With so much attention given to politicians and their preferences, Karnataka as a State is definitely crumbling in many aspects of ‘non-governance’.
Does coalition politics really work in this country with a billion differences and views? Differences arise, petty politics take over and compromises are not made. Opinions clash and ideologies take a backseat, accusations are made and fingers are pointed.
In forty months, we have seen the coalition government break up twice. Even a ‘free and fair election’ does not really solve the problem on a permanent basis.
So what can we expect from a state that has been under President’s rule for over a month now? Some more surprises that only paint a sorry picture of a State whose government was never there? Whatever the unstable result(s) will be, politicians should come to a decision, make it fast and keep it.
I think that the previous CM did a good job especially when it came to the infrastructure so I think he should come back as CM. Transferring power will not help. Only a re-election will ease out things – though I can’t tell what the outcome will be.

The last CM should have thought twice before taking position. If the same government is formed again, then the same thing will happen. All this has happened because of family politics and only a re-election should solve the situation.

The current political situation has been dragging for a long time now. There has been no compromise, so finally there is no government. Before becoming the CM, he should have thought about whether it will work out. A re-election is the best thing.

The same thing will happen if the same coalition government is formed. The previous government did a lot for infrastructure in rural areas, not in urban. The last resort left is to conduct re-elections and hopefully there will be a majority government formed.
