The right note
Madhya Pradesh government recently celebrated Madhya Pradesh Day and felicitated artistes from the State. Among them was popular music director Aadesh Shrivastava. He got the first Madhya Pradesh Ratna award for his contribution to the music industry
. Aadesh is not very happy with the way pop industry is making music. “Today, music is visually more offensive. The mithas is lost somewhere in raucous techno beats and vulgar videos.” Aadesh is currently judging the Voice of India show on Star Plus and looks barely impressed with the trend of voting. “Toshi and Abhas were deserving contestants who could not survive popular voting and got eliminated. But I guess that is the way it is meant to be. It is the public that makes stars. ”
Now that the VOI show is gearing up for its finale, who amongst the final two, according to him, is going to make it? “Harshit has cinematic qualities, whereas Ishmit is cashing upon his innocent looks. Let’s see how it goes,” he says diplomatically.
