All for Goal

On target Bipasha Basu

At last, Goal is here and Bipasha Basu is leaving no stage to promote the film.

Recently, she filled in for Shiamak Davar as a celebrity judge on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. She also visited the rival show, Nach Baliye where Rakhi Sawant dressed up as Gabbar and teased her.

Just the other day, she was in Delhi to launch the couture collection of designer Rocky S. Unlike her sensuous image in Bollywood, Bipasha came across as a blend of modernity with ethnicity in her favourite designer’s outfits. Flaunting an exquisite fuchsia pink and orange coloured sari, the svelte actress shared her opinion about the razzmatazz of fashion and style.

“I believe in doing a balancing act with my clothes. Fashion is just an extension of the person you are. Your outfit exudes your mind. For me, a light outfit with the blend of various soft shades works best. My all-time favourite are saris and a Rocky S label works wonders for me.”

Though we are in the marriage season, Bipasha says marriage is not on the cards for the next couple of years. However, her dress code is quite ready. “Given a choice, I would love to wear a bikini for my wedding!” she quips naughtily.

Having started her career as a model and winning the coveted Ford Supermodel of the Year award way back in 1996, Bipasha confesses that she doesn’t remember the time when she was a model. “Acting is an exciting career choice but at the same time it is a very responsible job too. It gives me a platform to experiment with my creative ability along with spreading awareness about social issues.”

For now, she is keeping her fingers crossed for Goal where she plays the role of a physiotherapist.
