FOUR FRAMES

Campus story

Balaji Sakthivel, who shot to fame with his second film "Kathal" that became a trend-setter, is all set to release his next film, "Kaloori", for director Shankar's home production, `S' pictures. Balaji is one of the few directors in Tamil who has never chased stars, as he believes in the strength of his script for a film to succeed. Balaji worked on the script of "Kaloori" with practically all the newcomers for a year before venturing to shoot. The milieu for his new film is a college campus in a small town in Tamil Nadu. The lead actors are new faces Akil and Tamanna, who are said to have come up with knock-out performances. The music is by Joshua Sridhar who began composing only after Na.Muthukumar wrote the lyrics. Balaji shot the songs only after completing the entire talkie portion.
