On the first day of Christmas_ my true love sent to me a partridge in a pear tree_ on the second day it was a pair of turtle doves, the third day brought three French hens. The song goes on with gifts for 12 days but Christmas celebrations at the Casablanca store in Puducherry are 25 days long. It starts from today.

Jacqueline Kapur has made a special card for customers in the shape of a Christmas tree. "Back home in Germany we call it an advance calendar and it would have 25 holes with chocolate pieces, each one for 25 days. And children can open the holes and look at the surprises hidden inside. For adults, sometimes there are notes and love letters inside," she says. There are 25 little red flaps in this tall green calendar that stands as a window decoration at the store on Mission Street. Beneath each flap is written the name of a different brand and every day one flap is opened and customers are given a 10 per cent discount on that brand.

Till December 25, every customer gets a gift; Santa Claus will give away gifts and chocolates to children. Kids brand Kanz, is offering a gift voucher of Rs. 101 on purchases of Rs. 1,000 and more and the voucher can be redeemed on the next purchase.
