ORIGINAL PLATFORM Sunday Jam will be a reflection of the city’s alternative ethos
The Levi’s Sunday Jam will be a gathering of musicians and music lovers — from not just within the city but from all over the country and even abroad, organised by Guruskool Music. The Levi’s Sunday Jam on December 2 will feature
8220;Ministry of Blues” (MOB). The venue is Shankara foundation on Kanakpura Road from 5 p.m. onwards. The line-up includes two original members from “Aftermath”, Deepak Kesavan aka DK, and Philipe Haydon on lead guitar and vocals. They are joined by Vinoo Matthew on bass (Midrange) and Rauf on keyboards.
M.O.B. is a polished four-piece outfit, playing a very broad section of blues-rock. Other bands playing for the December Sunday jam are “Abandoned Agony”, “Organ Jar”, “Pipe Dreams”, “Cross Legacy”, “Hammerage”, “Cöpyright Issues” and “Esperanto”.
Says a Freedom Jam enthusiast: “Music is about creative and passionate ideas and not a product. It’s an attitude, an urge to explore, to branch out and listen to something new, exciting and maybe even a little scary. These jams help find such great talents and foster their creativity by simply letting them do their own thing. Listeners decide everything for themselves. The jams are a reflection of the city’s alternative ethos.”
