Osteo arthritis camp
The 18th Osteo-Arthritis Camp will be held in Chennai on December 7, 8 and 9. It will be conducted by Dr. Vijay Naik and his team of technicians at Mahaveer Bhavan, 77, Pillaiar Koil Street, Triplicane, ph: 28552245. Pre-registration for appointment

Dr. Naik, consulting prosthetist and orthotist of the PNR Society for Relief & Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Gujarat, conducts camps all over the country. He has developed a polycentric knee brace, which is an alternative to total knee replacement surgery for people suffering from acute knee pain caused by osteo arthritis. The braces are customised and made to suit the individual needs of every patient. Besides, they are also taught a few exercises that will help relieve their condition.
