It is live jazz music at the Oxford Bookstore.
Enjoy jazz music with young musicians Tara, Sindhu, John and Conrad, students of Classes XI and XII from Stanes Higher Secondary School.
They will perform live on December 2 (Sunday), at 6.30 p.m., at the Cha Bar. Entry is free, and all are welcome.
Film screening
Konangal Film Society will screen the Spanish movie Volver on December 2 (Sunday). The film, released in 2006, talks about a family of women. The title Volver means ‘to return’, it is inspired by the filmmaker’s o
wn memories of growing up in La Mancha. In "Volver," the central character is a ghost.
The portrayal of women in the film is so lucid, that one could say there is no director alive, more connected to the hearts, minds and mysteries of women than Pedro Almodovar.
The film, with a run time of 121 minutes, will be screened at Ashwin Hospital Auditorium at 5.45 p.m. It has subtitles in English. For details, call 94430-39630.
Property Show
Namma Veedu HDFC Property Show is on till December 2 at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors can choose from over 45 projects showcased by 23 different developers.
The properties include residential apartments, premium flats, row houses and villas in the price range of Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 1.5 crore.
The show also includes a contest from Whirlpool for the visitors, where three lucky winners stand a chance to win white goods worth up to Rs. 45,000.
