Jazz and ghazal concerts on December 4 and 5

Music buffs in the city can look forward to evenings of Jazz and Ghazal at the Chinmaya Heritage Hall. Mediamix presents Jazz – Les Solistes on December 4, 7 p.m. and on December 5, 7 p.m., a Ghazal concert by Jitesh Sundaram. Donor passes are
priced at Rs. 400, Rs. 300 and Rs. 200.
Jazz and Ghazal – African American and Mughlai – vaudeville and Hindustani – it’s a unique combination. Les Solistes Francais will take jazz to new heights with its team comprising stalwarts such as Benjmin Prischil, Cyrille de Haes, Thibaud Hien (saxophone), David Remy (guitarist) and David Wacheux (violin).Jitesh Sundaram has trained under Anup Jalota and performed with eminent singers such as Ghulam Ali, Pankaj Udhas and Padmaja Joglekar. He has also performed at several venues abroad. Accompanying Jitesh will be Rajendra Nakod (tabla), Iqbal Warsi (violin) and Rohan Khatri (santoor).
Donor passes will be available at Landmark (Nungambakkam and Citi Center), Raymond Gatsby Collections (Nungambakkam), Bombay General Stores (Sowcarpet) and Nuts & Spices (Adyar).
