DX VENEGEANCE

Ultra Video

The video reminds of the days when World Wrestling Federation’s fights were not shown on television. The fans of these fights used to watch them on VCRs with apt attention. Many of them wouldn’t know that those were staged fights.

Now that such fights have become a common phenomenon, the curiosity factor has come down and so are the rates. Still for the die-hard fans who want to enjoy the hulks kicking and punching each other at leisure, this video is worth watching.

Sacred Music of India

Silk Road (CD)

This music album truly stands by its name. All its 12 scores have the talent in them to slow down your steps, transport you to an ethereal world and make you happy.

All the numbers here have been recorded during the Tibet House-organised Global Events of World Festival of Sacred Music held in Bangalore in 2000. Be it mridangam maestro T.A. Mani in “Konnakkol”, R.A. Rama Mani in “Raagam taanam Pallavi”, or the bhajan, “Chalna Hai Dur Musafir” by Aditi Upadhya, all of them have tradition to the core and musical excellence punched with a balming effect. The “Kathakirtan” with recitative singing of stories from our epics by Sant Bhadragiri Achyut Das has linguistic excellence.

The other scores, particularly those of Tibetan origin, are of meditative value.

Buy it if you are in a mood for a quick unwinding.
