Different role
Jeeva, who got married last week to his childhood sweetheart, is now on a different trip as far as his choice of roles is concerned. He keeps a safe distance from the typical larger-than-life hero roles and concentrates on offbeat characters as Vikra
m or Surya did a few years ago. His latest is “Rameswaram” about a Sri Lankan refugee who comes from war torn Jaffna to a refugee camp in Rameswaram and falls in love with the local chieftain’s daughter, played by Bhavana. This leads to complications in his life. Jeeva has lost weight especially for the film, which is directed by S.Selvam. He also attended special classes to learn to speak Tamil as it is spoken in Sri Lanka. The film has some good melodies by Niru.
