Calling actors to a workshop to explore an Indo-German production that will be showcased at the MetroPlus Theatre Festival 2008

Theatre actors are invited to participate in a workshop over this weekend (December 8 and 9). The workshops are the first in what will be a series of exercises to finalise a cast for an Indo-German production that will be showcased at T
he Hindu MetroPlus Theatre Festival in 2008. This effort, called Project InDeACT is supported by the Max Mueller Bhavan and The Hindu and will have a mix of actors from Germany and Chennai.
The workshop will be conducted by young German theatre director Johannes von Matuschka, who has trained at Vienna’s Max Reinhardt Acting School and has produced plays for the Schaubuhne in Berlin and the Kammerspiele in Munich.
* The workshop will be spread over six batches of three hours each between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Participants will be slotted into any one of the three hour segments either on December 8 or 9.
* The workshop will take place at Max Mueller Bhavan, 4 Rutland Gate, 5th Street, Nungambakkam.
* Those interested in participating must be above 18 years and below 40 years. They must be willing, if selected, to rehearse for the play in June and July 2008.
* Those interested in attending the workshop are requested to mail indeact@gmail.com with the following particulars. The mail should contain your name, telephone number (mobile preferably) and a brief sentence or two about your experience in theatre.
* Those who want to register are requested to send the email by this Wednesday (December 5), 8 p.m. Applicants will receive a reply mentioning the time allotted to them for the workshop. Please note that only limited numbers can be accommodated.
