Path-breaker


After his critically-acclaimed film “Chennai-28”, path-breaking director of 2007, Venkat Prabhu, plans to make a woman-oriented film “Saroja”. It will feature Vega, an Australian-born Mumbai theatre artiste, as the central character. Prakash Raj and Jayaram will appear in cameo roles along with Premji, Siva, Sumanth from the Chennai 28 team and producer SPB Charan. Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music. Produced by T. Siva of Amma Creations, the film, for which shooting has started in Chennai, is slated for release on May 9, 2008.
