Ginger Hotels, a TATA Enterprise, have launched their tenth property in Puducherry (Pondicherry) located near Old Venus Theatre, Karuvadikuppam. On this occasion, Roots Corporation Ltd (RCL) also announced the next phase of expansion, which will focus upon major metros and Tier I cities. These include the refurbished Rail Yatri Niwas in New Delhi, a hotel in Ahmedabad and a second hotel in Pune.
The first mall-based hotel in Ludhiana is slated to open by March 2008, by which time the footprint will also extend to Vadodara, Pantnagar and Panaji. Preparatory work has also commenced for Ginger Hotels in Mangalore, Guwahati, Jamshedpur and Paradip in Orissa.It offers a range of facilities like Wi-Fi connection, ATMs, self check-in Kiosks and vending machines at the properties or providing in-house amenities like a gymnasium, cyber café and meeting room or in product developments like Smart Sleep posture-pedic mattresses, Smart Bev kettles or Smart Wellness offerings in leisure locations.
