ch-sought-after illustrator, will conduct a workshop at Vismaya at 10.30 a.m. today.
Dermaut, well-known for his historical comics, studied art at Saint-Luc Institut of Tournai (Belgium). Using the pseudosynm Franjack, Dermaut made his debut with a comic adaptation of Oliver Twist (1974), which appeared in the magazine Djin.
Subsequently, he adapted ‘Les Miserables (1975), ‘Jacquou le Croquant (1976) and Colombe la vilaine (1977) for the magazine and made several short historical comics. During the Eighties, he worked with Daniel Bardet and created the prestigious historical series ‘Les Chemins de Malefosse.’ This was made under his own name in 1982.
