TV Singer Mika on his sudden appearance in “Jjhoom India”

With reality shows involving celebrities increasing by the day, celebrities are hopping from show to show.

Controversy-crazy Mika, who has just been ousted from Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, has now joined Sahara One’s Jjhoom India. Based on the format of the international show Stars on Stage, here professional singers mentor professional actors to sing and perform. Mika has replaced eminent singer Suresh Wadekar as the mentor of actor Shweta Tiwari. Suresh had walked out of the show calling Shweta besura, with no intent to learn. Meanwhile, Suresh is also a judge on Zee TV’s Little Champs.

Quality conscious?

What’s Mika’s take on the issue? “Sureshji’s opinion is right about Shweta. But I believe he has taken a reality show too seriously. Our aim is to make a show presentable to the audience. Viewers just want to see their actors sing. They are not too concerned about the quality. It is when the mentor goes off key that there is a problem.” Mika lets out the fact that Shweta knew just one song, “Dil Ke Arman Aasoonon Mein Beh Gaye”, and so he went by her choice for the first episode.
