Spirit of Christmas
Now that your exams are close to getting over, look forward to some fun this weekend. Last week, 30 kids decked up a Christmas tree beautifully at the Oxford Book Store and Cha Bar.
This week, the store is hosting a pyjama party for all young bookworms. On from 6 p.m. on December 22, it is open to kids between four and 14 years. Kids will be told the ‘Magic of Christmas’ story followed by dinner (you can order from a special Christmas set menu), singing and a visit from Santa Claus. Every kid will receive a special gift from Santa (apart from lollies). But, all kids must turn up in their pyjamas.
On December 23, the store has a candle-lit carol night from 6.30 p.m. This is open to all age groups, and yes, Santa will drop by a second time. Call 0422-4204804 for details.
Festive sale
Lavanya, Shivanjali’s Craft Shop, has put together an X’mas Bazaar in red, green and white, the colours of Christmas. Choose from Christmas trees, jingling bells and glittering lights, lamps and lamp shades. Candles, incense and gifts box
es are a special attraction.
All proceeds from this sale will fund the ‘3 months to 3 years’ scheme of the Shiva Shanta Mother and Child Care Centre that provides care for children from three months of conception to three years of age. Towels galore
A sale of branded export-quality towels is being held at Jayam’s Hall. Choose from assorted towels, such as face, hand, baby, bath and beach towels. Also available are plain dyed towels, yarn-dyed and striped towels.
You can pick up cotton bed sheets, bed covers, branded bed sheets and doormats too. These are priced between Rs. 99 a kg to Rs. 360 a kg. Open from 9.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
