Nine Hills won the trophy for the finest Indian red wine at the recent First Indian Wine Challenge. Seagram’s Nine Hills wine gets its name from the nine hills surrounding Nashik where the company’s winery and the vineyards are located. T he Nine Hills range includes Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The competition is designed to award excellence and recognise quality in wines. . The panel included three international and three Indian judges.

When Seagram’s Nine Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 won, Param Uberoi, Chairman and CEO, Pernod Ricard India Ltd said, “When we launched our domestic range of Nine Hills wines in late 2006, we hardly expected that in a year we would win an accolade.”
