Parents are responsible for the character building of their child. They are the first teacher of their child. Though parents have good concern and care for their children, often due to ignorance and illiteracy and without practical thinking they tend to be indulgent. This results in spoiling the children. It does not mean that parents should not be strict. But they must be careful. Sometimes parents fail to concentrate on the child because of family problems. Parents should condemn their children when they make a mistake. They should not encourage them but rather make them realise their fault. When parents’ pure love and true affection merge with care and strictness, the child will become a good citizen of the country. Parents are sculptors of the children.
