Ring in the New Year in style

Feast on finger-lickin’ cakes and a multi-cuisine buffet, and shake at leg at The Residency

Get chocolaty This festive season

Winter Wonderland. That’s what The Residency’s New Year celebrations at the Ball Room are called, and the hotel promises you a whale of a time this New Year’s eve.

DJ Loki will play pulsating music, and there are some great gifts to be won from Mahaveers, Kalyan Sarees, Tibre Trousers and Shirts and Crossroads. Rates are Rs. 3,700 per couple, Rs. 2,400 for an accompanying single, and Rs. 1,200 for a child below 10 years.

Lavish buffets

Other than this, the restaurants at the hotel will also throw open their doors to New Year revellers with a lavish spread.

At The Pavilion, the 24-hour coffee shop, the theme is ‘Hawaiian Rhapsody’. Treat yourself to a multi-cuisine buffet in a novel ambience for Rs. 800. The regular midnight buffet will also be available at Rs. 350.

At Chin Chin, the theme is Shanghai Nite. And, it will feature a buffet made up of Oriental Cuisine, along with regular Indian favourites. This is priced at Rs. 700 per guest.

At Afghan’s Grill, go Wild Wildwest. The buffet here, priced at Rs. 800, will feature a variety of Kebabs and Biriyanis, apart from the regular menu.

And, finally Baker’s Corner, the nightmare of every person on a diet. Who can resist the tempting array of chocolates, puddings, cakes, and some more chocolates, all lovingly wrapped in merry red and yellow? Choose from plum cakes (Rs. 300 a kg) rich with dry fruits plump from being soaked in spirits, plum puddings (Rs, 325), homemade chocolates (Rs. 700), Christmas Torte (Rs. 500), Fruit Gateaux (Rs. 500), Blueberry Cheesecake (Rs. 550), and more.
