Shop For books, toys, etc.
It is always good news when book shops open in the city. Dhaanush Educationals did the welcome deed recently when it launched its new outlet called Tree Top on NSR Road.
While Dhaanush has been in the business of supplying teaching aids and tools to schools, this outlet is open to anyone who has a fondness for books and a range of creative toys.
Colourful, bright and bustling with activity, kids will love the store. The shelves are of manageable height, which is thoughtful of the store owners.
Toys and board games for all age groups is stacked up, and little ones will be delighted with the ‘dress up the doll’ kit, and other creative activities that will involve a lot of sticking, cutting, stitching, and so on. Should be a lot of fun. Wooden blocks and toys make attractive gifts for Christmas.
A kiddie gym stands in a corner that is also going to be the ‘disco-corner’ for children complete with a key board and other musical instruments.
Novel gesture
Best of all, the store was launched, not by boring adults, but by children themselves. Gayathri of Vidya Vikasini Opportunity School cut the ribbon while Aswathi from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, V. Jeano Joseph from Lisieux MHSS, S. Dharanya from GKD MHSS and Alfred Davidson from Vidya Vikasini MHSS, all young achievers, lit the lamp and inaugurated the shop.
