Launch of Kozmicblues, a new couture line, in the city

CUTS AND COLOURS A glimpse of Kozmicblues
The newly-launched fashion brand Kozmicblues introduced its maiden couture line recently in a short and snappy ramp show at Hotel Residency Towers, T. Nagar. Smart cuts, cropped and embroidered tops, and sequinned and raw silk saris were the special
feature. Silk, raw silk and chiffon define the collection. Some of the motifs on sari, top and skirt are bold, others abstract and some in swirls.
However, a little more inventiveness could breathe more excitement into the line. The collection of saris on view at an exhibition that accompanied the ramp show was elegant. The colour palette was for all seasons. Particularly stylish were the crushed skirts in pastel shades. And to complement them were smart, strappy tops in unusual colour combinations and with bold motifs.
With a little more definition and focus, Uma Ramachandran, the designer behind Kozmicblues could create a niche for herself in the fashion firmament.
