Past and Reality

An exhibition of paintings by Sayujya Anand


Past and Reality’ a solo exhibition of paintings by Sayujya Anand, presented by the Kerala Lailthakala Akademi, is on at the Durbar Hall Art Centre ‘C’ Gallery, Kochi.

‘Confirmation,’ ‘confinement’ and ‘deceptively challenging’ a given visual system seems to be the three important characters of Sayujya’s paintings.

Her paintings seem to agree and disagree with the formality of training, which is a paradox inherent in her paintings.

Sayujya is a student in Visual Art Painting (BVA) at the Chitrakala Parishat in Bangalore.

The works on show is an attempt to picture the ambiguous. The exhibition is on till December 31.
