The competition among Tamil channels hots up, as serials are now being telecast almost round-the-clock. The afternoon 11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. slot on Tamil channels has more serials than ever before trying to grab the eyeballs of housewives. Now Kalaign ar TV has come out with a new serial “Kalyanaparisu” title of a popular film of the 60’s. N. Jagan, writer of popular serials, says : “The crux of the story is marriages are made in heaven but matches are made on earth. The best way a marriage works is to have an understanding spouse and this is the premise on which the story works. Gayathri, Kavya and Varshini play important roles in the serial.
