New Year bonanza

Star Plus had a blast on New Year eve (December 30), with a special programme “Chak De Yaara”. For the first time the awesome threesome – ‘master blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar, Pakistani ‘toofan express’ Shoaib A khtar and ‘Bollywood badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan appeared together on the small screen. “Chak De Yaara” also featured some other Pakistani and Indian cricketers along with glamour girls Kareena Kapoor, Koena Mitra and Diya Mirza. Sajid Khan along with Vidya Malvade, of “Chak De India” fame, hosted the show. M.S. Dhoni and Shoaib Malik along with Saurav Ganguly, Sreesanth, Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag, Irfan Khan and others performed a unique Bollywood act. Sreesanth challenged SRK with his impeccable moves, Bhajji was forced to mimic Shah Rukh and even propose to Dia Mirza. The King Khan made Yuvraj repeat the dialogues from his film “Devdas” in Punjabi while Dhoni performed a number from “Don” with SRK. According to a STAR Plus spokesperson, the aim of “Chak De Yaara” was to entertain and bring together celebrities from the two neighbouring countries.
