Celebrating art
Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust, which has been bringing local artists to light through various exhibitions, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Culture Centre. As part of the celebrations, it is conducting ‘Kaleidoscope-2008’, showcasi
ng paintings and sculptures of various artists from across the country. Twenty exhibitions will be conducted under this head during 2008.
The first exhibition will be held from January 2 to 6, 2008, between 10.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. This exhibition will showcase the works of well-known artists, M.G. Raffic from Madurai and B.G. Mahendran (‘Maggie’) from Chennai. For details, contact M. Kuppuraj, at 0422-2574110.

Crystal Trading Company has put up a sale of crockery and gift articles at Jayam’s Hall.
The exhibits range from crockery and cutlery in various styles to cookware for different medium, including ovens. Choose from non-stick pots and pans, and kitchen accessories such as utensil holders, spoon holders, juicers and knives that come in various sizes and shapes.
There is also an exclusive collection of juice sets and cocktail-ware from top foreign brands. To decorate the house, you could pick moulded aquariums, a vintage-looking telephone, candle stands and small orange/cherry plants to decorate the corner. There are also lampshades, decorative clocks, trolley bags and suitcases.
Most items come with a discount of up to 50 per cent.
