The Taj Group of Hotels in Bangalore has a line-up of events this New Year.

The Taj Residency’s, Graze, the European fine dining restaurant with Asian flair, offers champagne and caviar pairings, at Rs. 6,000 per couple and Rs. 4,500 per person with a complimentary glass of champagne.

At Café Mozaic, New Year’s Eve celebrations start with a live band from 8 p.m. onwards. An evening of a mix of popular soft rock and classic favourites of the 60’s 70’s and 80’s with a gala dinner, games and giveaways. It’s priced at Rs. 6,500 per couple and Rs. 4,500 per person and Rs. 3,500 per child. Once the New Year has been brought in, there is a post-midnight buffet in the early hours of January 1 from 2.30 a.m. onwards at Rs. 1,000 per person (plus taxes) and a brunch on January 1, 2008 at Rs.1,500 per person (plus taxes).

Memories of China presents “Freedom’s Price” serenades served with dinner specially created by Chef Yu Weing at Rs. 6,000 per couple, Rs. 3,500 per person and Rs. 2,500 for children. A complimentary selection of premium beverages accompanies the evening.

At Ice, DJ and super model Rebekah from London, famous for her techy house sounds, will entertain the crowd along with in-house DJ from 8 p.m. onwards. With dinner, games and giveaways it’s priced at Rs.7,000 per couple, Rs. 5,000 per person. Call 66604444.

At The Taj West End’s Mynt, “Countdown to 2008” will sport a Mediterranean theme, a live band - Expressions, DJs, MCs and a dance floor in the lawns, so you can jig the night away. On the menu is a special buffet including Indian, Lebanese, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, along with an array of desserts and a premium unlimited bar menu. It’s priced at Rs. 7,000 per couple, Rs. 5,500 single and Rs. 1,500 for children between 5 to 10 years.

Blue Ginger’s “New Year Extravaganza” with a Champagne dinner boasts a five-course meal, ending with liqueurs and cognac. You will also be able to access Blue Bar. No children allowed. It’s priced at Rs.10,000 per couple, and Rs. 7,500 single.

The Blue Bar’s “Moulin Rouge” will see a performance by “Les Belles Duval Revue”. On the menu is dinner and an unlimited premium bar access complimented by sounds of DJ Yon. No children allowed. (Rs. 8,000 per couple, Rs. 6,000 single)

Mynt will have a special New Years Champagne Breakfast (Rs. 1,350 per person) and a special New Years Champagne Brunch (Rs. 2,250 per person). Call: 66605660.

The Taj Gateway’s Stir will have a special New Year’s eve buffet with entertainment and select alcohol priced at Rs. 2,500 per couple, Rs. 1,500 for single guests and Rs.1,000 for children aged between five to 12 years. Potluck Café will have a special New Year’s Eve menu of grills and wines. Dinner is a la carte.
