The ‘Best Thing’ that happened last year was the honour that I got from the French Government (Officier de l’ordre des Arts and Lettres (Knight of Order of Arts and Letters), And the Khushi charity auction in which my painting fetched Rs1.20 crore. It only reinstated my faith on working slow and steady and make pure art. Otherwise the air that only ‘Cutting Edge’ work gets sold was doing the rounds.
Amrita Rao: Nothing can be better for me than seeing my film (Vivah) making a silver Jubilee plus in 2007. I barely remember anything else now.
A. R Rahman: By the Grace of Allah, so many good things happened to me in 2007 year that I have lost the count. Those I can quickly count on is the Taj Anthem, release of ‘Pray For My Brother’ video CD, release of Sivaji,the CNN-IBN award for Best Music for Guru which would be conferred soon!
Kunal Kohli: The best thing was that I could bring to floor a film both produced and directed by me. This has been my dream for years to make my own film. I haven’t named it yet. But it stars Saif Ali Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Amisha Patel. I can’t give out the storyline too!
Soha Ali Khan: Of course my first author-backed role in Khoya Khoya Chand. It has built in me a new confidence.
Madhur Bhandarkar: Last year my daughter Riddhi turned one. I celebrated her birthday with my close friends and family. That was the best thing to happen to me.
