Evam, the well-known Chennai based entertainment troupe has lined up the perfect stressbuster for you. Hamlet – the Original Spoof evokes laughter, the best remedy ever. Evam turns the famous Shakespearean tragedy into a hilarious comic piece, quite in tune with the medieval theme of ‘Knight Life’, Casino’s New Year bash.
Karthik Kumar, Karthik Srinivasan and Sunil Vishnu.K., try to make sense of ‘Hamlet’ in a whacky and entertaining way, playing eight characters, including two female roles.
The unconventional characters flout rules, engage in good-humored banter, argue about the direction of the play and refuse to play their parts. Dialogues fired backwards and a scream or two from the audience make it exciting and fun-filled. Romance, hilarity and tragedy reign supreme to leave the audience in splits. “One can expect much better fare than a sit-and-watch show as this spoof promises jovial interactive fun ”, says George Joseph, Food and Beverages Director, Casino. TShe mood is purely anarchical .
